CBSE Opens LOC Submission for Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026; Check Schedule & Key Guidelines

CBSE releases schedule for Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026 LOC submission. Check dates, fee details, subject change rules, and key guidelines.

New Delhi. ; The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notification regarding the submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026. This follows the earlier circular dated March 17, 2026.

As per the latest update, schools are required to finalize and submit the LOC after the declaration of results, along with the payment of examination fees within the prescribed schedule.

Important Schedule

  • Phase 1 (Fee Payment): 16 April 2026 (around noon) to 20 April 2026
  • Phase 2 (LOC Submission + Fee Payment): 16 April to 20 April 2026
  • Phase 3 (LOC Submission with Late Fee): 21 April to 22 April 2026

Key Highlights & Instructions

  • Students who missed registration earlier can now submit their names and pay the examination fee.
  • Students already registered in the first phase can complete fee payment.
  • Candidates can also withdraw their names if they do not wish to appear.

Mathematics Subject Change Option

  • Students who opted for Mathematics (Standard) can switch to Mathematics (Basic).
  • Students with Mathematics (Basic) can opt for Mathematics (Standard).
  • No changes are allowed in other subjects.

 Improvement Opportunity

Students who have passed can improve their performance in up to three subjects including:

  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Social Science
  • Languages

 Important Conditions

  • Students under the ER (Essential Repeat) category are not eligible.
  • Compartment students can appear under both compartment and improvement categories as per rules.
  • CWSN candidates will continue to receive existing facilities (no new registrations allowed).
  • If a student submits LOC and pays fees but does not appear, the main exam result will be considered final.
  • The second exam will follow the same syllabus as the main 2026 examination.
  • No corrections will be allowed after LOC submission deadline.

CBSE has instructed schools to carefully verify student data and strictly adhere to the schedule while submitting the LOC to avoid discrepancies.
