EThames Business School Becomes Telangana's First AI Native Business School, Integrates AI Across Education

EThames Business School has initiated plans to become the first AI-Native Business School in the Telangana region of India. The school's transformation to integrate AI in all aspects of business education, research, industry collaboration, and student learning, while also championing the responsible, ethical use of AI.

Hyderabad, June 25: One of Hyderabad's prominent management institutions, EThames Business School (EBS), after an announcement made during a special event held on the institution's campus on Wednesday, is the first institution in Telangana to transform in delivering business education.

Now, business education will be taught and delivered differently. The institution will embed Artificial Intelligence within all facets of a business school, including teaching, learning, research, and innovations, as well as industry-engaged student development. For the institution, the AI-Native Business School aims to equip students for the workforce of the future and will also support the ethical and responsible use of technologies.

To celebrate this occasion, students and faculty performed a skit called “AI Tools Speak, Humans Decide”. This performance included characters that represented the major AI tools: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, and Grok. These characters tried to persuade the students to use their respective AI tools.

While this performance was going on and the fictional debate was confusing the students, the professors used this opportunity to present their main message: use AI tools wisely, think critically, ask the right questions, and ensure that the use of AI tools will not lead to the replacement of human intelligence

AI-Native transformation program participants (Faculty, Students, and Institutional leaders) made an individual commitment at the event to use AI Tools ethically and professionally. The transformation program participants received certificates, and an AI-Native cake was cut for the occasion.

The aim is for AI to Foster Human Thought. The attendees included over 200 students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and innovation industry professionals. Among the honored guests were V.V. Laxmi Narayana, IPS (Retd.); Dr. Raghavendra Hunasgi; Murali Bukkapatnam; Bipin Chandra Pendyala; Ajit Rangnekar; and other Academic and Industry professionals.

According to Gadiraju Kali Prasad, the journey to AI transformation began over a year ago at this institution.

The initiative was created in response to a historically groundbreaking technology, and he believes schools need to evolve as quickly as the employment world. He says AI literacy is as important as computer literacy, which was needed in the 1990s.

AI should never substitute thinking or learning, according to him, but rather allow them to do all of those things better. He believes the school has already redesigned classrooms, faculty development, and its learning systems to become AI-Native.

V.V. Laxmi Narayana considers Artificial Intelligence one of the most revolutionary technologies of our time. In the development of technology, the wheel, electricity, computers, the internet, and mobile phones are some of the technologies that have changed the world. Of all of them, the most revolutionary is Artificial Intelligence.

Narayana believes that with the development of Artificial Intelligence, education, health, finance, politics, industry, media, research, and creativity will all change simultaneously. He addressed the issue of jobs, saying that with all the technological revolutions, the world has seen that human potential is never lost. He emphasized that the most important skill to possess to sustain oneself in the future is to learn continuously. As a virtual Guest of Honour, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Shukla, Director at IIIT Hyderabad, said that AI is no longer a future technology, but an already existing technology. He stressed the importance of equipping students with more than just the ability to utilize AI tools. Educational organizations should equip students with critical thinking skills, responsible innovation, and the ability to work alongside AI

Dr. Raghavendra Hunasgi called EThames the possible AI innovation lab, a place where education can transform from the traditional method of teaching to a more intelligent, adaptive one. Murali Bukkapatnam said that educational institutions are built more by people than by machines. By being the first AI-Native Business School in Telangana, EThames is building a more human-centered world  . HYSEA President Bipin Chandra Pendyala said that there are students who study AI, and there are students who truly integrate AI into their way of life, and that these students are the true AI-Native.

Dr. Mani Pavitra stated that India possesses the potential to develop the largest creator economy and urged the youth to design solutions for the world that integrate Artificial Intelligence with values, execution, and creativity.

This event signifies the beginning of EThames Business School’s AI-Native educational program and had an extensive attendance of students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and representatives from both industry and the greater Hyderabad innovation ecosystem.
