International Conference 2026 on “Designing the Future” to be Held at NIFT Chennai

The International Conference 2026 – Designing the Future: Creativity, Inclusion and Technology in Youth Innovation will be jointly organized by NIFT Chennai and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MoYAS) from March 25 to 27, 2026, bringing together scholars, designers, technologists, and youth innovators from India and abroad.

Taramani - The International Conference on Designing the Future (ICDf 2026) will be hosted at the NIFT Chennai Campus, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Taramani, Chennai–600113, Tamil Nadu. The conference aims to address global challenges by integrating design, technology, sustainability, inclusion, and youth empowerment, while promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation-driven solutions.

Conference Themes

The conference will focus on three major sub-themes:

Future Fashion, Living Systems & Sensory Materiality

Fashion Intelligent Technologies, Hybrid Craft & Digital Futures

Social Imagination, Inclusion & Ethical Design Innovation

Call for Papers

Original research papers, case studies, and posters are invited from research scholars, students, academicians, industry experts, and individuals. Selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
