IGNOU June TEE 2026 Exam Date, Hall Ticket & Date Sheet

The June 2026 Term-End Examinations (TEE) at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will occur from June 1 to July 21, 2026. The university will publish hall tickets nearly a month prior, i.e. May 25, 2026. As a prerequisite for entry to their respective exam centres, students are instructed to download hall tickets from the university website (ignou.ac.in).

IGNOU June TEE 2026 Dates Announced

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is about to hold its June 2026 Term-End Examinations, and millions of distance learners across the country are readying themselves. The University has announced that examinations for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs in both Open Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Program (IOP) will be conducted from June 1, 2026, to July 21, 2026.

The date sheet exhibits course-wise exam dates. The exams will be conducted in two sessions: the first from 10:00 to 13:00, and the second from 14:00 to 17:00. The duration of each paper will be stated on the question paper, so students should not assume the same time for all subjects. The exam time frame is almost 7 weeks. Thus, students are advised to download their date sheet according to their course code, based on the large number of subjects for which exams will be conducted.

Hall Ticket Release: Immediate Action Required

Around May 22 to 25, 2026, IGNOU will release the June 2026 TEE hall ticket on the Samarth portal: ignou.samarth.edu.in. To enter exam halls, students must possess this hall ticket. IGNOU does not post hall tickets, nor do they email hall tickets. Because hall tickets must be downloaded, students who fail to do so face serious consequences at the examination centre.

To download hall tickets, students log into Samarth using their credentials and will see the hall ticket link posted under the exam tab for the June 2026 TEE. Students are to print the hall ticket and examine their full name, enrollment number, program code, exam center address, and course codes. Their registered information must match. Errors must be reported to the Regional Centre or the SED of the university. Errors must be communicated prior to the exam.’

Eligibility Conditions: Who Is Eligible to Sit for the Exam?

Not every enrolled student is eligible to sit for the June TEE. IGNOU has specified additional criteria, and admission to the examination hall shall remain provisional until all such criteria are fulfilled. Students should also ensure that the programme registration is valid and has not exceeded the maximum duration for completion. Where relevant, the assigned work should also have been submitted positively before the due date.

In addition, the examination fee should have been paid for all papers intended to be taken. For the June 2026 TEE, the exam form submission deadline was extended to April 26, 2026, without a late fee. Exam forms submitted from April 27 to April 30, 2026, were charged a late fee of Rs 1,100. Students who submitted no exam form in this period shall not be issued a hall ticket and will not be allowed to sit for the June session. Students whose course codes are not indicated on the hall ticket, despite payment of the fee, should email preexam@ignou.ac.in and registrarsed@ignou.ac.in with evidence of payment and an acknowledgement of the submission form.

Important Instructions for Students on Exam Day

Not being prepared for an IGNOU exam is a costly mistake. Most of the instructions are printed on the hall ticket. Students have to abide by them. Exam candidates must have both a printed and signed hall ticket and a government-approved ID card with their photograph. Aadhaar cards are one example. There is no substitute for the printed hall ticket. Exams conducted digitally on the candidates’ phones are not acceptable.

All answers must be written using a blue or black pen on the answer sheet provided. Also note that answers must be written in the language used for answering the programme. However, to some extent, students can choose the language they are comfortable with, based on the language used in the medium of the programme they have enrolled in. They must also remember that, due to reasons beyond the University's control, exam centres may be moved to a different location just before the exam. The University will take appropriate action, but exam-time candidates must also regularly check with their respective Regional Centres and the IGNOU website for the latest updates prior to their exam date.
