JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Answer Key Released: How to Challenge NTA Provisional Keys

NTA has published the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 provisional answer keys and response sheets. Candidates can challenge the keys until April 13, 2026, by paying a fee of ₹200 per question.

NTA Releases JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Provisional Answer Key; Window to Challenge Opens


New Delhi. : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Provisional Answer Keys and recorded response sheets for the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 (April attempt). Candidates who appeared for the Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech) exams held between April 2nd and April 8th can now verify their answers online.

Key Dates and Fee Structure

Candidates can submit challenges against the provisional keys through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, during the following window:

  • Challenge Period: 11 April 2026 to 13 April 2026 (up to 11:50 PM).
  • Processing Fee: ₹200 per question challenged (Non-refundable).
  • Payment Modes: Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

How to Challenge the Answer Key

  • Login: Visit the official portal and log in using your Application Number and Password.
  • Select Questions: Click on ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’ to view Question IDs and the 'Correct Option' ID designated by the NTA.
  • Submit Claims: Check the box next to the Option ID you believe is correct. You can upload supporting documents in a single PDF file.
  • Payment: Save your claims and pay the processing fee.

The NTA has clarified that no challenges will be accepted after the deadline of 11:50 PM on April 13. If a challenge is found valid, the answer key will be revised for all candidates, and the final results will be prepared based on these updated keys.
