JEE Main 2026 Session 2: NTA Opens Correction Window from February 27 to 28

NTA has opened a one-time correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 from Feb 27 to 28. Check editable fields, rules, and official website details.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a one-time correction facility for candidates appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 – Session 2, following multiple representations from students requesting an opportunity to edit their application details.

As per the official notice, the correction window will remain open from 27 February to 28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). During this period, registered candidates can log in to the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
 to verify and modify permissible details in their online application forms.

Who Can Use the Correction Facility?

The correction opportunity is available to:

  • Candidates who applied as fresh applicants for JEE Main 2026 Session 2
  • Candidates who registered for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 and also applied for Session 2

Once the correction window closes, no further changes will be allowed under any circumstances, the NTA clarified.

Important Dates

  • Last date to submit online application for JEE Main 2026 Session 2: 25 February 2026
  • Correction window: 27–28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
  • No extension will be granted beyond these dates

Editable Fields (As per Annexure-1)

Candidates will be allowed to edit or modify selected particulars, including:

  • Course / Paper
  • Medium of Question Paper
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Examination City (as per available options)
  • Educational qualification details (Class 10 & 12)
  • Gender, Category, Sub-category / PwD (where applicable)
  • Identity details (for candidates registered with identity other than Aadhaar)
  • Signature (for Session-2-only applicants)

Note: Some corrections may require payment of an additional fee, which must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Fields That Cannot Be Changed

  • Mobile number
  • Email ID
  • Permanent and present address
  • Emergency contact details
  • Uploaded photograph

Candidates will be allowed to change only one among:

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name

This correction facility is strictly one-time only. Once corrections are submitted, the application form will be frozen, and no further opportunity will be provided.
