Nirma International Conference on Law 2026 to Focus on Climate Change and Corporate Governance

Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, is hosting the Nirma International Conference on Law (NICL) from 20–22 February 2026. It aims bringing together scholars and practitioners to examine the intersection of environmental law and corporate governance.

Ahemdabad: The Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU), Ahmedabad, has  the Nirma scheduled the International Conference on Law (NICL) 2026,  from 20 to 22 February 2026.

The three-day international conference focused on the theme “Climate Change and Corporate Governance,” positioning itself at the intersection of environmental accountability and corporate responsibility. Organised collaboratively by the Centre for Corporate Law Studies (CCLS) and the Centre for Environmental Law (CEL), the event aimed to create a platform for dialogue on sustainability, ESG compliance, climate risk governance, green finance, corporate restructuring, and technology-driven sustainability frameworks.

The conference will unfold across three thematic days.

Day 1 focused on emerging dimensions of environmental law and climate justice, including climate accountability, public participation, sustainable transitions, and biodiversity governance.

Day 2 will examine evolving frameworks of corporate law and sustainable business practices, with sessions on ESG accountability, sustainable finance, environmental liabilities under corporate restructuring.

Day 3 will explore interdisciplinary approaches to law, technology, and society, including AI governance in sustainability, data ethics, digital environmental monitoring, and cross-sectoral regulatory models.

The conference also offers significant academic incentives, including publication opportunities in a book with an ISBN number, selected publication in the Corporate Research Law Journal (CRLJ), internship opportunities with leading law firms, and prize money for top papers.
