NIT Agartala Announces Vidyalakshmi PAN NIT Scholarship 2025 26: Applications Open for B.Tech Students

NIT Agartala has invited applications for the Vidyalakshmi PAN NIT (Merit-cum-Means) Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year. This scheme, managed by IIT Madras, targets B.Tech and Dual Degree students from the EWS, OBC, and General categories with an annual family income between Rs. 1,00,000 and Rs. 5,00,000.

Agartala: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala has officially invited applications for the Vidyalakshmi PAN NIT Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2025-26. This Merit-cum-Means scholarship, executed by IIT Madras, is designed to support meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Academic Program: Must be enrolled in B.Tech or Dual Degree programs at NIT Agartala.
Academic Performance: For 1st-year students, the scholarship will be considered based on their 1st-semester CGPA.
Financial Status: Annual family income must be between Rs. 1,00,000/- and Rs. 5,00,000/-.
Category: Applicants should belong to the EWS, OBC, or General categories.
Exclusivity: The applicant must not be receiving any other scholarship.
Gender Preference: 50% preference will be given to female students.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following self-attested documents along with their application:

Annual Family Income Certificate issued on or after April 1, 2025.
Category Certificate (for EWS and OBC-NCL students).
Relevant Mark Statements.
A Declaration Form confirming the non-receipt of other scholarships.

How to Apply

Students are required to fill out the application form in blue ink. The completed form, along with supporting documents, must be submitted physically to the Stipend & Scholarship Section at NIT Agartala.

Submissions are accepted on working days between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM.

Important Dates

Application Deadline: February 9, 2026.
Income Certificate Validity: Must be issued on or after April 1, 2025.
