Kamdhenu University Invites Applications for Senior Research Fellow Post

Kamdhenu university, Gujarat, has invited applications for the post of Senior Research Fellow under an ICAR-funded research scheme at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Anand. The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis.

Gandhinagar - Kaamdhenu University throough it's a Directorate of Research, has issued a notification inviting applications for one post of Senior Research fellow under the plan scheme "Strengthening of Veterinary College" at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry , Anand. 

The position is project based and the selected candidate will be stationed at the Veterinary college, Kamdhenu University, Anand. The appointment will be purely contractual and co-terminus with the research scheme. The university has clarified that this position does not guarantee regular employment after completion of the project and services may be terminated without prior notice.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

M.V.Sc. in Livestock Production and Management, Animal Nutrition, or Veterinary Extension Education (preferred),

OR

Master’s degree in Agriculture (preferably Agronomy),

OR

Life Sciences degree with 4–5 years of research experience after Bachelor’s degree.

If candidates with veterinary qualifications are not available, applicants from Agriculture, Life Sciences, or Basic Sciences with appropriate qualifications and experience, as per ICAR norms, may also be considered.

Fellowship and Age Limit

The fellowship amount is:

₹37,000 per month + HRA for the 1st and 2nd year, and

₹42,000 per month + HRA for the 3rd year.

The maximum age limit is 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.

Application Process

Interested candidates are required to submit their application on plain paper along with a bio-data in the prescribed format to the Principal, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Anand–388001. Applications must be sent on or before 3 February 2026 through Speed Post or RPAD only.

Applicants must clearly mention the title of the post and title of the project in the cover letter. Certified copies of relevant documents should be attached, and original documents must be produced at the time of interview. If a large number of applications are received, a written test may be conducted.

No TA/DA or other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.

The notification has been issued under Notification No. KU/DR/U-2/SRF/200/2026 dated 29 January 2026 by the Directorate of Research, Kamdhenu University.
