ABV IIITM Gwalior Invites Applications for 22 Assistant Professor Posts

Gwalior - Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior an institute of national importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Pay Level 10). A total of 22 vacancies have been notified across the department of Information Technology, Engineering Sciences, Computer Sciences and Engineering and Management Studies.The recruitment is being conducted on contract basis for a fixed period.

Vacancy Distribution (Category-wise):

General: 6,  OBC-NCL: 7,  SC: 1,  ST: 2,  EWS: 6 =  Total: 22 posts

Eligibility & Pay:

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline

Pay Level: Level 10 (7th CPC)

Salary Range: ₹57,700 to ₹98,200 (minimum gross approx. ₹70,900 per month) plus admissible allowances

Desirable: At least one SCI journal publication

Age Limit:

Fresh appointments beyond 35 years are discouraged, except for candidates with exceptional research careers or those associated with funded research projects.

Application Fees:

General / OBC-NCL / EWS: ₹1,000

SC / ST / PwD: ₹500

(Fee is non-refundable)

Important instructions  : 

Separate applications are required for each department.

Reserved category candidates must submit valid category certificates as per Government of India norms

PwD candidates must have at least 40% percent disability to claim reservation benefits.

Inbreeding rule applies : Candidates who obtained their PhD from ABV-IIITM Gwalior in the last three years are not eligible

Selection will be conducted in two stages:  Teaching and Research Presentation followed by Interview.

Candidates must appear for the interview at their own cost. Web interviews may be conducted for overseas candidates.

Completed application forms along with all required documents must reach ABV-IIITM Gwalior by February 25, 2026 (5:00 PM) through registered or speed post only. Applications sent by email or fax will not be accepted.
