JIS University Announces Re Examination Opportunity for NPTEL Learners

JIS University has announced a special opportunity for eligible students to reappear for SWAYAM (NPTEL) examinations, in January 2026, allowing learners who were entertainment of absent or did not qualify earlier tk earn their NPTEL certificates.

Kolkata - The Office of the Controller of Examinations, JIS University, has issued a notice informing students about a special opportunity announced by SWAYAM (NPTEL) for learners who were previously enrolled in certain courses but could not appear for the examination, were absent, or did not qualify during the January 2025 or July 2025 semesters.

According to the notice , the eligible courses are being reoffered in January 2026, giving students another chance to appear for the examination and earn the NPTEL e-certificate as per NPTEL norms. The university clarified that re-enrollment in the course is not mandatory and students are not required to resubmit assignments from the previous semester. However, to be eligible for the examination candidates must have an average assignment score of more than 40 out of 100 from January 2025 or July 2025 sessions.  Students who do not meet the requirement are advised to enroll again in the January 2026 course cycle and submit assignments to improve their eligibility. 

The examination dates have been scheduled between April 17 and April 26, 2026. Candidates must register for the exam using the same enrolled email ID and complete the online fee payment process. 

The examination fee is ₹1,000 per exam if registered on or before February 9, 2026 (5:00 PM). A late fee period will apply from February 9 to February 13, 2026, with applicable charges. A 50 percent fee waiver is available for SC, ST and PwD candidates.

The last date for exam registration is February 13, 2026 (5:00 PM). The same date is also the deadline for data correction and for cancelling exams to receive a refund. A correction fee of ₹200 will be charged after the deadline for changes related to personal or category details

The university further informed that students may register for more than one course and may appear for two exams on the same day in two different sessions at the same exam centre. Learners residing outside India are also eligible to register, with examination mode and related details to be communicated separately by NPTEL.
