JIS University Announces NPTEL Exam Registration for Select Engineering Courses

JIS University has issued a notice for students enrolling in in selected engjneering programmes to register for NPTEL certification examinations through the a SWAYAM platform. The last date for exam registration is February 13, 2026, with exams scheduled in April 2026.

Kolkata -  The Office of the Controller of Examination, JIS University has released an official notice informing students to select programmes to register for NPTEL certification examinations under the SWAYAM initiatives. 

According to the notice, students willing to obtain NPTEL certification must complete their exam register by February 13, 2026. The examination registration fee is ₹1000 per course. 

The courses and programmes included are B.Tech CSE (2nd Semester) for Advanced Engineering Mathematics, B.Tech CSE (4th Semester) for Discrete Mathematics, B.Tech CSE (6th Semester, except IoT) for Cloud Computing, and M.Tech CSE (AIML, 2nd Semester) for Deep Learning – IIT Ropar.

The examinations are scheduled to be held in April 2026. Discrete Mathematics and Deep Learning exams will be held on April 17, 2026, while Advanced Engineering Mathematics and Cloud Computing exams will be conducted on April 25, 2026.

The university clarified that students who register for NPTEL exams will not be required to appear for the University End Term Examination (ETE) for those SWAYAM courses. However once registered for NPTEL Students will not be allowed to appear for the university ETE for the same course. Failure will failure to appear in the NPTEL final exam will be treated as a backlog. 

The notice further stated that students must secure a minimum of 40 percent marks in internal assignment to be eligible for the end term examination and must obtain at least 40 percent in both internal and end-term components to pass SWAYAM-NPTEL courses. 

The notice was issued by Dr. Santanu Banerjee, Deputy Controller of Examinations and Nodal Officer (SWAYAM), JIS University, Kolkata. Students have been advised to complete the registration process within the deadline to avoid any inconvenience.
