Symbiosis International Ends Registration for SET/SITEEE 2026: Key NEP Updates for UG Admissions

SET & SITEEE 2026 registrations are closed. Learn about Symbiosis International University’s new NEP-aligned 4-year degree, exit options, and credit system.

PUNE – The registration window for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and the Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) 2026 has officially closed. As Symbiosis International (Deemed University) prepares for the upcoming computer-based tests, candidates are now eyeing the next steps in a revamped admission cycle heavily influenced by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Flexible Degrees and Multiple Exit Options

This year’s SET-General and SITEEE intake marks a significant shift toward multidisciplinary learning. Except for the SITEEE technical tracks, undergraduate programs now offer a four-year structure with flexible entry and exit points:

  • Year 1 Exit: Students earning 44 credits receive a Certificate.
  • Year 2 Exit: Students earning 84 credits receive a Diploma.
  • Year 3 Exit: Students earning 120 credits receive a UG Degree.
  • Year 4 Completion: Students earning 160 credits graduate with a UG Degree (Honours/Research).

Students who opt for an early exit have a generous window of 3 to 7 years to return and complete their education, fostering a "lifelong learning" approach.

Immersive and International Opportunities

The curriculum now emphasizes a "double major" system and multidisciplinary skill-building. Beyond the classroom, SIU has strengthened its semester exchange programs, offering students practical and research-heavy experiences with partner international universities.
Admission Integrity

University officials reminded candidates that while the entrance exam registration is complete, individual program registration fees must be settled separately. Shortlisted candidates will soon undergo institution-specific selection processes.

SIU maintains a strict policy on documentation; any discrepancies or attempts to influence the management will lead to immediate disqualification. The university holds full authority to cancel applications at any stage if the provided information is found to be incorrect.
