New Delhi, March 9: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a clarification regarding reports claiming that two candidates with the same name—Akanksha Singh—had secured Rank 301 in the final result of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, which was declared on March 6, 2026.

Following widespread media reports and confusion on social media, UPSC stated that only one candidate named Akanksha Singh has officially secured Rank 301 in the examination.

According to the Commission’s official records, the details of the successful candidate are:

  • Name: Ms. Akanksha Singh
  • Rank: 301
  • Roll Number: 0856794
  • Father’s Name: Ranjit Singh
  • Mother’s Name: Neelam Singh
  • Address: Village Abhaipur, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh

UPSC emphasized that these details correspond to the only candidate who secured Rank 301 in the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2025.

The clarification comes after media reports suggested that two individuals with the same name were claiming the same rank, creating confusion among aspirants and the public.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually by UPSC to recruit candidates for prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

With the clarification issued, UPSC has effectively resolved the confusion surrounding the Rank 301 claim in the CSE 2025 final results.
